My name is Ben. My wife, Marie, and I have been married for 8 years this past June and live in Independence, Missouri. My wife and I grew up in opposite corners of Northern Missouri; she in the east and me in the west. We fully believe God brought us together in his time nine years ago and we look forward to where He continues to lead us.
I’m the part-time Children’s Ministry Director here at Raytown Christian Church. I felt God’s tug for me to apply for this job. Marie and I spent time praying over it and felt God leading for us to apply. We are looking forward to where God leads as he continues to use us while we serve the people and community of Raytown. We look forward to growing the ministry and teaching children about the love Christ has for them.
My personal interests are studying God’s Word, gardening, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies. I am grateful for the opportunities God has blessed me with and Marie and I look forward to serving along side the church as we share the gospel with those who don’t know Jesus, continue to grow the church and the Children’s Ministry, and serve where God leads in his time. My favorite verse, which applies greatly to where the Lord is leading us to serve him, is Proverbs 22:6 which says, “Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old he will never depart.”
