Free Summer Enrichment Program
July 8 – August 02
Enhancing Education is a non-profit program that provides free summer support to students in the Raytown School District. Enrichment and tutoring opportunities are available, by application and acceptance, to students going into grades 1st – 6th (students who have COMPLETED Kindergarten through 5th grade). This summer, qualified teachers and support staff will work with students daily from 9:00 am -12:00 pm, July 8 – August 2.
The goal of Enhancing Education is to fill the gap between the end of summer school and the beginning of each new school year. We are the answer for families seeking year round educational support for their students.
Every day of the summer program is spent engaged in reading, writing, and math activities via multiple learning techniques. Students will take walking field trips or enjoy enrichment activities each week to help them make connections to what they are learning as well as to the community. Last year students received 96 hours of one-on-one support which included 1440 minutes of reading enrichment.
In addition to academic support, students receive a healthy breakfast, snack, and lunch every day. Enhancing Education works with the Raytown Summer Lunch Ministry and the Raytown Emergency Assistance Program (REAP) which provides school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Enhancing Education is free to families committed to participating the entire length of the program. Enrollment is limited. Click here for application form.
