Jesus said, “Blessed be the peacemakers” (Matthew 5:9). So why would he intentionally and repeatedly pick a fight with the religious leaders of his day?
The first time he met the religious leaders, according to John’s Gospel, he went into the temple courts and drove out the bankers and the merchants – commerce sanctioned by the temple leadership.
He picked a fight.
It was intentional.
And he did it over and over and over again.
What would drive the Prince of Peace to start a war with the establishment leaders? What was so important that he refused to negotiate, compromise, or even entertain alternatives?
Join us this week for The Conversation and the series Never, Never, Never Give Up as we explore why Jesus never gave up fighting for what was right.
See you Sunday!
