Worship at Raytown Christian Church is a time of excitement, celebration, fellowship, prayer, singing, learning, and above all time spent in the presence of God. We have two distinct and different worship services each week at RCC.
Classic Worship (9 a.m)
Praise Worship (10:30 a.m.)
Our Praise Service is led by Julie Steele and the One Desire Praise Team. The music is a mix of top current Christian songs with a bit of classic rock-n-roll mixed in now and again. The service is marked by longer praise and worship music sets, high tech video-supported worship, and informality.
Dress Code: Casual dress is typical, but some come in biz-casual as well.
Nursery & Toddler Care: Available
Children's Worship: Available at DOCKids – but children are always welcome in the adult worship service.
Misc. Info: Hot beverages are available before, during, and following the worship service. Snacks and casual conversations are available after the service in the lobby.
Communion is celebrated in both of our weekly worship services. You do not need to be a member of Raytown Christian Church to participate; communion is open to all who are seekers and followers of Jesus Christ. The practice of Holy Communion is the central element of worship within the Disciples tradition.
Baptism marks a decision to become a life-long follower of Jesus Christ. Raytown Christian Church baptizes by immersion, but accepts all forms of Christian baptism, because we believe with Ephesians 4:5 that there is "one Lord, one faith, one baptism."
