Connects You With God
One of the keys to the early church was their commitment to fellowship. They got together daily to explore the teachings, to share a meal, and to worship. Of course, they did that in their homes, that is, groups of twenty-five or so would congregate and share in a member’s or a leader’s home. While they were gathered, the group prayed together. They didn’t just pray for their meal. They didn’t just open and close the meeting with prayer. The New Testament suggests that one of the most important and most prevalent things they did together was to spend significant time in prayer. Why is it that the role of prayer today plays such a small part of our worship and our lives?
