Muttering in the Study
I don’t know about you, but I’m disappointed in the church. I took my children to church almost every week and in every worship service they heard at least three worship hymns or songs. That comes up to almost 3000 songs. And yet with all that experience, none of my children can play the piano. Huh?! Silly expectations? Perhaps, but too many seem to expect the church to immerse and indoctrinate their children in the faith after they drop them off at church for a couple hours each week. But hanging out at church a couple hours a week is as effective in turning children into faithful disciples as it is in turning them into concert pianists. So … what’s the answer?
