Kim Lawhead
Youth Director
I am Kim Lawhead and you will usually find me sitting in the choir during the classic service and singing God’s praises with my family during the alternative service.
What can I say? I can’t get enough of God or the people in this church! Sunday evenings you will find me in our youth lounge with as many 6th – 12th graders as wish to join me. I love the creativity, perspective, and exuberance that the youth share with me while I help them develop a closer, personal relationship with Jesus.
When I’m not hanging out up at church, I am hanging out with my family. My family is rather extensive and I love to brag on them. I have biological children and one special daughter-in-law, informal and formal foster children, and foreign exchange children.
If the RCC youth and my own kiddos weren’t enough, I work with children and youth for the Raytown School District and so enjoy getting to know the families as a school social worker. During my free time (free time?) I enjoy going to local school/community events, singing, cross-stitch and reading. I clean while dancing (or is it that I dance while cleaning?) and sing boldly to the car radio even with the windows down.
