Worship
Worship at Raytown Christian Church is a time of excitement, celebration, fellowship, prayer, singing, learning, and above all, time spent in the presence of God. We have two distinct and different worship services each week at RCC.
Classic Worship: Sundays at 9:00 am
The glorious pipe organ, played by classically-trained master of the organ, Dovie Fields, is only one of the musical highlights of this service. Suanne Comfort leads the Sanctuary Choir, our Handbell Choirs, the Raytown Tenors, and special soloists each of whom adds to the majesty of this worship service. Although the dress is casual, the worship service engenders a more formal atmosphere that begins with the selection of classic hymns and a more traditional order of service.

The music is a mix of top current Christian songs with a bit of classic rock-n-roll mixed in now and again. The service is marked by longer praise and worship music sets, high-tech video-supported worship, and informality.

Nursery & Toddler Care: Available
Children’s Worship: Available on Kid Street Worship – but children are always welcome in the adult worship service.
Misc. Info: Hot beverages are available before, during, and following the worship service. Snacks and casual conversations are available after the service in the lobby.
Communion is celebrated in both of our weekly worship services. You do not need to be a member of Raytown Christian Church to participate; communion is open to all who are seekers and followers of Jesus Christ. The practice of Holy Communion is the central element of worship within the Disciples tradition.
Baptism marks a decision to become a life-long follower of Jesus Christ. Raytown Christian Church baptizes by immersion, but accepts all forms of Christian baptism, because we believe with Ephesians 4:5 that there is “one Lord, one faith, one baptism.”
